Technical tour & social programme
Technical tour will be organized for participants and accompanying persons (pipeline transport and tailings pond).
A social program may also be organized provided that there are enough participants interested.
Technical Tour Sightseeing at Europe’s largest Tailings Storage Facility “Żelazny Most” is planned.
The tailings pond and technical installations are part of the technological process of copper production at KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. The pond has been enlarged with a new quarters where the operation is carried out in the technology of thickened tailings.
We plan to visit:
- TSF “Żelazny Most”
- South Quarters of TSF “Żelazny Most”
- Tailings segregation station
- Tailings compacting station
- Booster pumping station
